Parents’ Association
The Parent Association is the structure through
which parents and guardians in the school can work together for the best
possible education for their children. The Education Act, 1998 sets down
the role of the parent association. The Parent Association works with
the principal, staff and the board of management to build effective
partnership of home and school. Meetings of the Parents’ Association
take place regularly throughout the school year. Educational research on
the involvement of parents in schools shows that children achieve higher
levels when parents and teachers work together. We encourage parents to
come on board and help with the committee. If you are willing to help
out or offer assistance occasionally with PA events please contact any
of the PA officers below directly. Being part of the Parents'
Association is very rewarding as any of the events organised or funds
raised are for the children of the school.
